This July I was lucky enough to be asked to arrange the flowers for my friends Hannah and Phil for their wedding. I made the long trip to Rainow in Macclesfield where Hannah grew up as that was where their beautiful marquee was set among rolling Hills, it really was such an amazing view and setting.

Hannah went for soft pinks and creams for her bouquets to match with her dusty blue bridesmaids. We used a dusty pink Rose called Quicksand as well as blousy white Peony, delicate blush Astilbe, White Eustoma, Hypericum, Veronica and Thistle for a touch of blue, finally tied all together with Gypsophila.

Hannah and Phil married at Pott Shrigley Church- a beautiful little church set in the Derbyshire countryside. There I decorated the lychgate with a garland of flowers, using a variety of pinks included deeper shades in order for the flowers to really stand out, the addition of trailing Amaranthus really finished this design off really framing the area, and really looked beautiful on their pictures.

The theme at the Marquee was golds and whites very elegant and classic. I had the challenging job of arranging three hanging floral hoops, they hung from the top of the marquee and created a fabulous statement as you walked in. I needed to make sure that I used large headed flowers so with that in mind the flowers we chose included Phalaenopsis Orchids, Peony, Roses, Hydrangea, Roses, Dahlia, and lots of trailing Amaranthus. As well as heavy greenery to fill. I was so pleased with the final look.

Congratulations to the happy couple.
