I'm flashing back to August today to talk about Clare and Wills country style summer wedding.
I was over the moon to be asked to do their wedding flowers for them, they married at Burleydam Church, and then to a beautiful marquee reception at Clare's home farm.
Clare had 6 bridesmaids in total, they wore a beautiful light blue colour, I made hand tied posy's for them to hold in cream and pink. I made a larger handtied for Clare with the addition of David Austin Roses.
Emma, Clare's sister helped dress the church with Ivory organza material, in oversized bows for the pews and draping for the banisters, it looked very elegant.
Clare wanted mainly whites and creams in the church with just a touch of pink, we used lots of Gypsophila, Roses, Peony, Lisianthus and Hypericum.
I decorated the Church windows with large cream arrangements and Ivory candles, and created a large pedestal design to go in front of the alter with stunning cream and pink David Austin Roses.
For the choir stalls I made 2 large open hearts filled with white Gypsophila, this was probably my favourite part of the decoration.
Lastly I made a large archway for the outside of the Church, I filled it with lots of beautiful pinks and creams and trailing satin ribbon, it really made a statement.
The Marquee looked beautifully elegant in Claire's home gardens, I did a range of table centres for her here. The first design was a tall glass lily vase with cream and green ball arrangements, filled with lots of fresh foliage and white blooms. The second design was a simple posy design with glass cylinder vases in the centre with a floating candle in each, the different heights worked really well with the venue.
